Interested in Spartan history?

The head over to give @ithaca_bound’s new podcast a listen!

The session on government in Classical Sparta features Dr Philip Davies, Assistant Professor in Ancient Greek History in our Department of Classics and Archaeology. He joins the show to discuss how government functioned in the Classical Spartan period (550-350 BCE), explaining how Classical Sparta functioned for years with a body of citizens who passed laws while co-existing with two contemporaneously sitting kings (a diarchy).
