The BBC's Great British Food Revival has showcased the Department's AHRC-funded Dama International Project, which is examining the natural and cultural history of fallow deer.
The program, screened on 29th October, showed how Dama International is using arts and humanities research to address the uncomfortable, but necessary, issue of deer management.
Pupils from the Nottingham University Samworth Academy worked with the project's team to skin and butcher a complete fallow deer (a species introduced to England by the Normans).
