In March 2012, a three-day visit of members of the Department of Classical Archaeoly, Humboldt Universität Berlin, to the Department of Classics in Nottingham launched Q-College, a collaboration of student fellows at the two institutions.
During their stay, the fellows from Berlin were able to experience the daily routines of our Nottingham students, participating in their classes and lectures.
Trips to the Nemi collection at Nottingham Castle Museum and to Chatsworth House and its Roman portraits offered plenty of opportunity for the fellows to exchange their thoughts on ancient visual culture. A celebratory dinner inaugurated Q-College and sealed the partnership between our institutions.
