Description

This year's Postgraduate Open Day is taking place on Friday 14 December 2012. The schedule for the day within the Department of Music will be as follows:

1:00pm - 2:00pm  Lunch Arrival and welcome
2:00pm - 3:15pm Music Department presentation 

Presentation:

  • Purpose of postgraduate study
  • The structure of the Nottingham MA degree
  • Research specialisms in the Department and the MPhil and PhD programmes
  • Application process
  • Funding opportunities

With Dr. Sarah Hibberd (Director of Postgraduate Studies and Admissions Tutor)
3:15pm - 3:30pm Department tour A chance to see our inspiring facilities, including teaching rooms, Music Library and performace spaces
3:30pm - 4:00pm Tea and cake An opportunity to talk to staff and current postgraduate students
4:00pm - 5:30pm Music Department staff and current students

Futures Panel:

Nottingham alumni talk about careers in music and the value of postgraduate study (including teaching, arts administration, publishing, performance, academia)
5:30pm - 6:30pm Music Department staff and current students Wine reception
