Over the 14 years since forming, the Pavel Haas Quartet has gained enormous international acclaim. The recordings have garnered five Gramophone Awards including the coveted ‘Record of the Year’ for their CD of Dvorák’s String Quartets No.12 ‘American’ and No.13 in 2011. The ensemble’s latest album, featuring Smetana’s String Quartets, won the BBC Music Magazine Award in the Chamber category earlier this year.
