Nottingham ranked second most musical city in the UK

The city has always had a strong reputation for live music, and the diversity of talent, together with support from local promoters and the explosion in social networking are all contributing to a rapidly growing music industry.

Nottingham has been attracting attention nationally – from the NME, to record labels and producers, to big-name artists and festival organisers. According to a study by the music streaming service Spotify, Nottingham is the second most musical city in the UK after London; although this is only one indicator, it does point to the strong appetite for music in the city.
