Autumn 2013 saw the launch of an updated and expanded edition of The Chronicle of Jazz, written by Mervyn Cooke (Professor of Music) and published simultaneously by Thames & Hudson in Europe and Oxford University Press in the USA.
This striking book is lavishly illustrated with almost 350 graphics (many in colour), and takes the form of a lively year-by-year history of jazz from its origins to the present day. The volume has also been published in French and German translations, and is particularly suitable for those keen to discover more about this fascinating music.
