The department invites applications for the post of Assistant Professor, with specialism in the field of performance.
The closing date is 5 November 2014.
The successful candidate will be a specialist in the field of musical performance, and be expected to:
- teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules related to performance (including subjects such as ensemble performance, performance practice, conducting)
- supervise postgraduate research students
- undertake research in their specialised areas
- contribute to departmental administration (primarily in the role of Director of Performance)
Candidates able to engage with students across a range of musical genres will be preferred. Complementary expertise in one or more of the following fields is actively welcomed:
- music therapy
- arts management
- music psychology
- early music notation and editing
- music in the community
The successful candidate will be engaged in research activities (whether scholarly or practice-as-research, or both) suitable for REF submission.
