Nick Baragwanath will be presenting two live events at this year’s Cheltenham Festival, on Saturday 11 July.
In ‘Maestro’s Music School’, for families, he will tell the story of how children in the past learned to be singing superstars, which involved angel wings, donkey skins, stocks, and fishing rods. In ‘Craft Secrets of the 18th-Century Musician’, he explores the forgotten techniques for composing known by the likes of Haydn, Bellini and Farinelli. This interactive workshop offers the chance to learn some tricks of the trade, as well as revealing some surprising hidden meanings to famous melodies.
