Guide to Searching

When searching for images, it is important to understand how the images were originally described when adding them to the image bank. To standardise common keywords, a brief list was drawn up and along with any image specific keywords used to describe an image.

So when searching for an image of a female student, rather than searching on "girl", or "woman" or plurals of these, simply search for "female", or "females" for more than one student. It is important to remember that while the keywords listed below are commonly used, keyword pertaining to the subject of the image were used as well such as "clarinet" or "bicycle"; using these keywords will often yield more accurate results than more generic searches.
