This summer our Learning Development team are hosting a series of sessions dedicated to helping Postgraduate students with dissertations and projects over the summer break.

• Reading critically - Wednesday 3 July, 12 noon - 1pm, online
• Time management - Wednesday 10 July, 12 noon - 1pm, online 
• Criticality and argument (Engineering) - Wednesday 17 July, 1pm - 2pm, online 
• Criticality and argument (Arts and Humanities) - Wednesday 17 July, 1pm - 2pm, online
• Editing and proofreading - Tuesday 23 July, 1pm - 2pm, online 

Presentation skills workshop - In-person session

Do you want to improve your presentation skills?  The Learning Development team are leading a workshop just for you

In this practical workshop you will learn how to employ confident body language, how to use your voice effectively, and how to cultivate the self-belief needed to tell a captivating story through your presentation. No experience necessary but a willingness to participate and improve your presentation skills is required.

Libraries support and services 

• Click and Collect - Our Click and Collect service is available to all students
• Scanning for personal use - request scans of printed materials available in our collections (within copyright restrictions)
• Postal loans - A postal loans service is currently available for students and staff who meet the criteria.
• Click and Study - We offer bookable study space in our libraries, including height-adjustable desks and calm spaces. Calm spaces are ideal for students who particularly prefer a less disruptive study environment.
