Spotlight sessions on Arts and Humanities primary sources

Are you an Arts and Humanities student looking for primary sources for your assignment? Our Learning Development team are hosting Spotlight sessions focused on Arts and Humanities databases exploring how to search effectively for your sources.

These sessions are the perfect introduction for History, English, and other Faculty of Arts students to explore the range of free primary source material that is made available through the university library. They will be especially useful to Year 3 and Masters students who are currently planning dissertations focused on historical, literary or other topics from the eighteenth century to the present. Students at all levels working on essays on this time period will also discover new primary sources through these sessions, which will make their assignments distinctive and original. One of the most common enquiries we receive from Faculty of Arts students is "Where can I find primary sources?" These sessions provide some answers to that question!

The sessions will also be valuable to staff and researchers who want to discover more about the early modern and modern source collections within the library's subscriptions. The sessions will be run by representatives from the suppliers, who are experts in using these platforms and interfaces for research.
