Research Summary

My area of research is bone biology and bone biomaterials:

I am currently working on the mechanisms controlling bone growth and their involvement in the pathogenesis of Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS), with a specific interest in leptin and the endocannabinoid system.

I also work on establishing the role of silicon and silicates in bone growth and their incorporation into novel biomaterials.
