Join us on a captivating journey through time! In this talk we follow in the footsteps of travellers from Nottinghamshire who ventured abroad on the 18th and 19th centuries! From the mountainous vistas of Switzerland to the ancient treasures of Italy, these early tourists sought everything from culture and education to adventure and escape on the Continent and further afield – chronicling their experiences through diaries, letters, sketches and photographs now held here at Manuscripts and Special Collections.
