Biography of Francis George Godfrey Willoughby (1890-1915)

Francis was the third son of the 10th Baron Middleton . Born at Settrington, Yorkshire, he was educated at Cheam School and Wellington College before entering Trinity College, Cambridge. He intended a career in the Diplomatic corps, but on the outbreak of war in 1914 he entered the 9th Battalion The Rifle Brigade. He was killed in Flanders on 9th August 1915.

He was unmarried.
