Abstract:
Quantum trajectories are random processes describing the state evolution of quantum systems subjected to repeated indirect measurements. In this talk, we examine the behaviour of generic discrete-time quantum trajectories. We demonstrate that, over time, a trajectory tends to concentrate entirely within one of its minimal invariant subspaces, with this selection occurring exponentially fast in expectation. Furthermore, we present a feedback control strategy enabling targeted convergence towards a specific minimal invariant subspace. Throughout, the analysis will rely on Lyapunov-based techniques.
