Lecturer David Hodge from our applied probability and statistics group appeared as a probability expert on BBC Radio Nottingham on Thursday 16 January 2015. The programme discusses the opportunities for changing one's life in the year ahead.
The segment was primarily focused on understanding the chances of winning on the National Lottery as Nottinghamshire seems to be "lucky" when choosing the winning numbers. However it also touches upon other aspects of life where probability can be surprisingly useful, such as the likelihood of sticking to a New Year diet or fitness regime.
