Congratulations to Alex Rose who was awarded the above Andrew Cliffe prize recently. The prize is presented in memory of the late Professor Andrew Cliffe, and is awarded to an outstanding second-year postgraduate student studying for a PhD in either Industrial and Applied Mathematics or in Scientific Computation in the School of Mathematical Sciences.
Alex is working with Drs. O'Dea and Hopcraft on a project studying dynamical networks. His latest activity looks at traffic-flow networks, more details of which can be found in the paper: A. Rose, R.D. O’Dea and K.I. Hopcraft (2016) Price of anarchy on heterogeneous traffic-flow networks. Phys. Rev. E.
