We are pleased to announce that Dr Fredrik Strömberg's recent EPSRC First Grant application has been successful.
The 2 year project “Explicit methods for Jacobi forms over number fields” is focused on developing new explicit methods for working with Jacobi forms, a certain type of function which play an important role in number theory.
One of the main goals is to obtain new insights into the BSD conjecture (one of the Clay institute millennium problems) through the exploration of new examples. To obtain these we will use a combination of tools from analysis, algebra and representation theory together with both rigorous and high-performance computing.
Well done Fredrik!
