Marco Iglesias makes the front page

Research undertaken by Dr Marco Iglesias has featured as the cover article in the latest issue of SIAM News, the news pages of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. The article focuses on Marco's work on uncertainty quantification, an area of growing interest in the international community, both in academia and industry. 

Quantifying uncertainty in the solution of inverse problems is an exciting area of research in the mathematical sciences, one that raises significant challenges to the interfaces between analysis, computation, probability and statistics. The reach in terms of applicability is enormous, with diverse problems arising in the physical, biological, and social sciences, such as weather prediction, epidemiology, and traffic flow.
