Ben graduated from the University of Nottingham with a MSci Hons in Biochemistry. He joined Nottingham University Hospitals NHS trust to work as a research data clerk, and later as a site setup facilitator for the surgery division. This work primarily focused on supporting and setting up a wide variety of unique trials within the Research & Innovation department of the hospital.
In 2024, Ben moved to become a trial coordinator at the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit, where he is supporting on the STARshiP trial. This is an exciting new step-wedge, cluster randomised trial of pre-eclampsia screening, to determine the cost effectiveness of implementing the FMF algorithm nationally.
