Lucy Mahaffey

I am currently working with the University of Nottingham’s Rights Lab to research initiatives to prevent human trafficking, with a particular focus on taking global responses to local, state and county communities. I have over 10 years of experience combatting modern slavery and human trafficking.

I founded HOPE Student Awareness, a statewide anti-trafficking curriculum for students and contributed to an executive summary for the US Department of State on due process and criminal systems for traffickers globally.
