Global accolade for finance education at Nottingham University Business School

Nottingham University Business School has been welcomed into a worldwide professional body which promotes the highest standards of ethics, education and professional excellence in the world of finance and investments.

The School’s MSc Finance and Investment course has been accepted onto the CFA Institute University Recognition Programme. The Institute is the global association of investment professionals that sets the standard for professional excellence and administers the industry gold standard CFA charter.

The MSc Finance and Investment course has been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice within the programme. This positions students well to obtain the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, which has become the most respected and recognised investment credential in the world. Scholarship potential

Entry into the CFA Institute University Recognition Programme signals to potential students, employers, and the marketplace that Nottingham University Business School’s curriculum is closely tied to professional practice and is well-suited to preparing students to sit for the CFA examinations. Through participation in this programme, Nottingham University Business School is eligible to receive a limited number of student scholarships for the CFA Programme each year.

This recognition testifies to the academic rigour and relevance to professional practice that characterises this popular course."

Nottingham’s MSc Finance and Investment is taught by one of the largest groups of finance experts in the UK who offer students some of the most up to date knowledge and techniques in their fields.

The course provides a solid foundation in modern finance and investment and prepares students for a career in investment banking, financial management, or further postgraduate study in a related subject.

The one-year, full time course is designed for students who have studied a quantitative subject or management, business studies or economics at undergraduate level.

In 2013, the Financial Times ranked the course as one of the top Masters in Finance programmes in the UK.
