Findings

Once examination is complete the woman can leave the bed/examination couch and be seated again to discuss the findings. The findings of the examination should make up part of the whole assessment of the woman. All findings should be documented in the appropriate notes; any deviations from the norm should be referred to an obstetrician for further assessment (NMC 2004).
