School internships
The School of Psychology provides our second year undergraduates with the opportunity to apply for a paid summer internship of up to six weeks within the school.
This gives students the opportunity to gain research experience in an area of interest to them.
Students interested in this scheme are encouraged to approach potential supervisors working in areas in which they would like to gain research experience. Staff at UNUK or UNM can act as supervisor for a summer internship, however flight and accommodation costs must be met by students undertaking an internship at UNM.
Not all staff will be in a position to host an internship so it is important to speak to any potential supervisor ahead of the deadline. Preference will be given to those who have sought external funding to help support the internship.
Please note, supervisors are asked to support no more than one internal studentship application. However, supervisors may support as many external applications for funding as they wish.
Please note that only University of Nottingham Psychology students are eligible to apply for our school-funded internship. We welcome applications for externally funded internships from students outside the School.
The internship scheme is no longer running in 2024.
