Noriane Cochetel
PhD Candidate
Email: noriane.cochetel@nottingham.ac.uk
Noriane completed her MSc in Nutrition and Food Sciences at the University of Montpellier. Her final year research project focused on the potential beneficial effects of blackcurrant polyphenols on starch digestion and glycaemic response.
Her PhD research will look at the digestibility of novel protein sources, mainly bacteria, to be used as more sustainable components of animal/fish feed. Noriane will be using in vitro digestion methods to assess the digestibility of these single-cell proteins, as well as some in vivo methods to validate the results.
Noriane's PhD supervisors are Dr. Ying Zhang, Assoc. Prof. Tim Parr and Prof. John Brameld.
