Amit is a PhD candidate with the Palaeobenchmarking Resilient Agricultural Systems project. He investigates factors that influence drought propagation, from meteorological to hydrological drought. He studies the effects of drought propagation on agriculture in order to help stakeholders and policymakers manage agriculture better. His research has clear implications for food production.
Amit holds a BSc in Civil Engineering and a MSc in Water Resources. He worked for the National Institute of Hydrology (NIH) in Roorkee (India) as a Senior Research Fellow for two years before beginning this PhD.
