Chris is a PhD candidate in the International Agriculture DTP.
Chris’s PhD research project is titled 'Geospatial modelling of soil geochemistry modeling at national-scale for improved human nutrition'. His research focuses on understanding and communicating uncertainty in spatial prediction of micronutrients to improve spatial resolution of baseline data. Spatial information is indispensable to end-users, such as agricultural, nutritional and health practitioners, to design site-specific interventions to address ‘hidden hunger’ thereby improve the quality of food. Chris’s supervisors are Professor Murray Lark, Professor Martin Broadley (University of Nottingham), Dr Alice Milne (Rothamsted Research), Dr Patson Nalivata (LUANAR) and Dr Joseph Chimungu (LUANAR).
