Anastasiia Kliuha

Anastasiia Kliuha works as part of the Rights Lab’s Law and Policy Programme, conducting research on policy and programming interventions to address modern slavery and the costs of eliminating forced labour. Before joining the Rights Lab, Anastasiia worked as a human rights expert for both the government and NGOs in Ukraine. Her professional experience is preventing torture at places of detention, both at a field level and in policy making. She is a co-author of the National Strategy for the Prevention of Torture in the criminal justice system in Ukraine. Anastasiia is also a national consultant of the Council of Europe in Ukraine in the field of combatting ill-treatment through the efficient realisation of the mandate of the National Preventive Mechanism. She holds a Master of History and LLM in Human Rights Law, where the last one was funded by Chevening, an international scholarship of the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
