Audrey Lumley-Sapanski is an Assistant Professor of Geography at Colorado Mesa University and a Visiting Assistant Professor of Immigration and Human Trafficking in the Rights Lab. She studies the risks of human trafficking and exploitation faced by migrants, focusing primarily on the differential effects of governance structures and policies. Her work has been funded by the International Organization for Migration, the International Labour Organisation, and UKRI, among other funders. She has a PhD from the Pennsylvania State University, a Masters from Pace University and a BA from Williams College. She has been a Modern Slavery Policy and Evaluation Centre Fellow and received the Freedom from Injustice Award from Heartland Alliance.
