Email: catherine.fougeremasters@nottingham.ac.uk

Catherine Fougere Masters is a Visiting Fellow in the Rights Lab's Health and Communities Programme. Currently based in Kathmandu, Nepal, she is researching the viability of voluntary repatriation as an alternative/additional mechanism for Nepalese women to return from situations of commercial sexual exploitation (CSE) in India. The research arises from her five-year community development role alongside women working in the red-light areas of Kolkata, India, and aims to give insight into the seldom heard voice of women in active situations of CSE and determine the level to which services in Nepal are addressing their specific needs.
