Professor Doreen Boyd (Geography) leads the Rights Lab's Measurement and Geographies Programme. Her current work uses satellite imagery and her expertise in remote sensing to map slavery from space for the first time. She is also working on an extensive analysis of the relationship between slavery and environmental destruction. She was the recipient of the Vice Chancellor's Medal in 2018 for her Rights Lab research and leadership.
