Ergul Celiksoy

Rights Lab Visiting Fellow in Criminal Justice

Dr Ergul Celiksoy is a Visiting Fellow in the Rights Lab's Law and Policy Programme, examining the intersections between modern slavery, criminal justice, and criminal law. He previously worked on a Rights Lab project exploring responses to modern slavery and human trafficking in the agenda of the United Nations Security Council, and conducted research in the Lab on the use of digital payment methods in cases of online sexual exploitation of children in Europe and the Philippines, to identify how investigation and prosecution in these cases can be improved. Ergul has a background as a qualified lawyer, with a research focus on European and comparative law and policy.
