Esther Stewart is a PhD student working anti-slavery governance frameworks. She also has completed several projects in the Rights Lab as a research fellow, including work on a survivor storytelling curriculum, the intersections between climate change and modern slavery, and the human rights and anti-slavery policies of the Council of Europe. Her research background is in anti-slavery governance globally and locally, the support needs of survivors, gender, and methods to reduce the push factors for slavery. She completed her LLM in Human Rights Law at Queen's University Belfast and is has worked with a range of third sector organisations in the areas of refugees, and asylum seekers, survivor support, and youth empowerment.
