Dr. Lara Bianchi (Business) works as part of the Rights Lab's Business and Economies Programme on the intersection between modern slavery and workers' rights. This work closes the gap in management studies on remedy for workers under slavery conditions. Her past projects include work on the role of smaller UK businesses in tackling modern slavery, and on developing an anti-slavery policy toolkit to help companies build a coherent antislavery policy with human rights due diligence focused on modern slavery conditions within supply chains. Her research background is in social accountability, and in particular responsible business conduct and the impact of the private sector on fundamental rights.
