Mariana Crespi de Valldaura (School of Sociology and Social Policy) works as part of the Rights Lab’s Health and Communities Programme researching the role of faith-based organisations in anti-trafficking efforts. Mariana is a PhD student looking at the role of the Sisters Adoratrices fighting against sexual exploitation, supervised by Dr Alison Gardner and Dr Scott Pacey. Mariana holds a BA in Social Work from the University Complutense of Madrid, and a MA in Development Studies from the University of Sussex (Institute of Development Studies).
