The Rights Lab has established a human rights research partnership with J. Sainsbury’s Plc. to work collaboratively on data driven solutions, insights, and guidance across a series of salient and evolving human rights risks, including forced labour, discrimination, sustainable livelihoods, safe and healthy working environments, rights and access to water, land rights, loss of livelihood and stranded communities, child labour, and precarious work. The partnership involves data generation and analysis, data sharing, best practice assessments, and co-production of guidance to support Sainsbury’s overall commitment to sustainability and human rights. Professor Todd Landman leads the project along with a core team comprising Professor Zoe Trodd, Professor Alex Trautrims, Professor Dame Sara Thornton, Professor Doreen Boyd, Professor Lisa Carroll, Dr Edgar Huerta Rodriguez, Lois Bosatta, and Anastasiia Kliuha.
