Professor Morgan Alexander has again been named by Clarivate as one of the world's influential researchers with Highly Cited Researchers 2022. ISI analysts have awarded Highly Cited Researcher 2022 designations to 6,938 researchers from across the globe who demonstrated significant influence in their chosen field or fields over the last decade. The list is truly global, spanning 69 countries or regions and spread across a diverse range of research fields in the sciences and social sciences using a published methodology.

Morgan was listed in the global Highly Cited Researchers 2022 rankings during the 11-year period 2012 to 2022. He is amongst a total of only 579 researchers from the UK and 7 at the University of Nottingham to make the list. The UK placed 3rd globally behind the USA and China from the 6,938 researchers making the list globally.
