Description

The CBS Researchers Forum is delighted to announce that the Seventh Annual CBS Researchers Symposium will take place on the 2nd of June 2016, in the Coates Auditorium.

The Symposium showcases research carried out in CBS with the aim to strengthen the exchange of ideas between researchers working in different areas of biomolecular sciences. This is an opportunity to promote your research and establish new connections, but also to get an insight on the latest research carried out in our institute and discover new facilities.

Director of CBS, Prof Ian Hall, will open the event with a talk on ‘Understanding COPD: lessons from genetic studies’
Prof. Hall is also the Director of Clinical Research for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and a Co- Director of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Experimental Therapeutics (IPSET).

The keynote speaker for this year’s symposium is Prof. Stuart Elborn (Queen’s University Belfast), who will talk about the development of stratified approaches based on molecular genetics for the treatment of patients with Cystic Fibrosis.

Find information on how to register for the event and or submit abstracts for posters and talks on the dedicated events page
