Interview with Freya Harrison

Freya is a post-doctoral research fellow in Steve Diggle’s group in the School of Life Sciences and she studies the social behaviour of bacteria. In this interview she talks to us about her career in molecular biology and about her famous medieval microbiology project in collaboration with the research departments for Anglo Saxon and Viking history at the University of Nottingham. This involves a potent eye-salve mentioned in a ancient script.
