Resources

The Centre for Late Antiquity and Byzantine Studies (CLABS) draws on a number of resources supplied by The University of Nottingham, including digital and physical resources and the University of Nottingham Museum, as well as those publications and projects provided by the members of staff attached to the Centre.

On campus resources

The Hallward Library offers a number of works relevant to these subject areas, including items written by members of staff associated with the Centre.


The University of Nottingham Museum also has relevant items in its collections.

Online resources

For members of the university, there is access to extensive online resources, including such items as:

  • the Patrologia Latina Database which contains 221 volumes comprising the works of the Church Fathers from Tertullian in 200 AD to the death of Pope Innocent III in 1216 and represents a complete electronic version of the first edition of Jacques-Paul Migne's Patrologia Latina
  • the Thesaurus Linguae Graecae which houses almost all extant ancient Greek texts up to 600 AD, and a large number of texts from 600 to 1453.
