Leng's work on the comparison between the single and multilayer TBCs sprayed using solution precursor, and suspension thermal spray (SSP-HVOF) is now published in the Journal of the European Ceramic Society. This paper is published Open Access and accessible for everyone to read, presenting the thermal cycling performance of the single-layered and double-layered TBCs carried out in the isothermal thermal cycling furnace. The failure mode of both the single- and double-layered TBCs is investigated and discussed, clearly depicted in the graphical abstract.
