Health Geography

Current Projects

Some of our latest Hub-initiated projects reflect the diverse ways our Hub works to connect our sub-disciplinary fields within geography and beyond:

  • Simon Gosling is investigating the impact of climate change on global labour supply and labour productivity as part of the EU COST Action PROCLIAS (Process-based models for climate impact attribution across sectors)
  • Research by Suzanne McGowan and Thom Davies is adding a new qualitative perspective to our understanding of the health impacts of dust in Greenland
  • An exploratory public engagement activity led by David Beckingham is taking up our school’s very own map collection as a resource to support community wellbeing
  • Sarah Jewitt and Stephanie Coen are developing a methodology for a cross-cultural participatory project on the gendered health geographies of sanitation in schools
