ESE Manager Transitions

As Education and Student Experience Manager for Transitions, I am responsible for supporting students on their journey into UoN. This involves Faculty-level organisation of Welcome and Arrivals, ensuring that incoming students receive adequate information and support as they begin their studies.

I also have oversight of our Outreach work with underrepresented groups in local schools and communities, including STEM work experience for Year 10 students and tutoring and mentoring programmes for Year 12 students, to promote a diverse and inclusive student community.

I am heavily involved in supporting the transition of learners from underrepresented groups into and through their educational journey, working towards eliminating awarding gaps and improving Graduate Outcomes for minoritised groups in partnership with our Education and Student Experience Manager for Ongoing Student Support.

In addition, I am responsible for enhancing the experience of Postgraduate Taught (or Masters) students, who are often at UoN for a much shorter period of time than their undergraduate counterparts.
