HEDD Data Collection Notice
The University of Nottingham is a member of the Higher Education Degree Datacheck, a shared service which allows employers or statutory bodies and their agents to verify basic degree and enrolment information about you, with your consent. Most commonly these checks are made if you register with an employment agency or are offered a job.
The University will output the following parts of your record to HEDD:
Name
Date of birth
Course
Qualification
Dates of attendance
Graduation date
Classification obtained
These details are held in the HEDD system.
An employer or agent who makes an enquiry about you through HEDD must obtain your consent in advance for every enquiry made. This is a condition of use of the service.
HEDD is managed on behalf of universities by Graduate Prospects, which is a Higher Education agency. Staff at Graduate Prospects may need to access your data in order to handle enquiries made through the HEDD system.
Aggregate data (data which does not identify you as an individual) may be published, but no data which personally identifies you can be disclosed to any third parties.
If you wish to find out more about HEDD please contact heddhelp@prospects.ac.uk
You can choose to exclude your information from HEDD. If you do so employers may not be able to verify your credentials. To opt out of HEDD please contact verifications@nottingham.ac.uk
