Here For You
A structured support system aimed at helping students get the right help at the right time.
The 'Here For You' Team includes:
- Student Advice Coordinator: An experienced staff member who can triage student queries to the right place and offer students help and support with their wellbeing and pastoral care. Students have the option of attending the drop in hub during the week for an in person meeting or emailing the senior tutor inbox.
- Academic guides: We have academic guides 'on call' during the week and students are encouraged to book one to one meetings with the guides to help further their studies and answer any academic queries. The academic guides also facilitate group meetings where students have the chance to meet with their peers, allowing for collaborative learning.
- Peer guides: Fellow students deliver weekly 'drop in' sessions where the students can meet the guides and discuss any aspect of university life. They also work on projects to nurture a sense of community within the student cohort.
Upon joining the School of Law all students are added to the 'Here For You' Moodle site. This has a wealth of information about the services on offer and where students need to go to ensure their issues are quickly resolved.
