We are often asked to recommend some introductory reference books for new students on our course. Here are some suggestions.
It is not recommended that you buy, or even read, all of these if it adds financial or academic pressure prior to the course. We do encourage reading through a well-chosen few, which should give you some useful background material for the course if you feel you need it.
You should be able to access the recommended books and papers from our libraries online once you have registered for your online student account.
If you want something to read before you start the course, we highly recommend these two core texts:
