Joint honours
Studying in more than one department
Studying in more than one department
If you are studying in two separate departments as part of your degree, you are a joint honours student. This page tells you what to do during Welcome.
Induction timetables will be available in early September.
Our Welcome schedules are organised by department, rather than by degree programme.
For joint honours degrees, one department will act as the ‘lead’ or ‘home’ department. This department handles the administrative aspects of your course.
Prioritise the timetable for your lead department
We recommend that you attend the main induction talk of your non-lead department. This will contain important information that will be helpful to you.
You can attend any relevant sessions for your non-lead area, providing they do not clash.
You may find it helpful to bookmark the two timetable webpages relevant to your degree. Please check them before you arrive in case any of any changes.
If you have any questions about above information, email the Humanities ESE (Education and Student Experience) team at humanities-ese@nottingham.ac.uk
Your lead and partner departments
