Whatever support you might need, whether it’s personal or academic, we’ll help you while you apply and during your time at University.
Student Services and academic study skills
We support students in developing the skills they need to be more confident in their studies.
Care leavers
Deciding to go to university is a big step. At the University of Nottingham we want your university experience to be a positive one. If you are care experienced we would like to offer you extra support from the time of your application through to the completion of your studies. The support we offer is optional and you can decide how much you need at any stage and be assured that you will be treated with confidentiality and sensitivity, as we recognise that you may wish to leave the ‘care’ label behind. We are fully committed to welcoming those with care experience into Higher Education and would encourage you to contact us at the earliest opportunity.
Disability support
We are here to support the University community in creating an inclusive and equitable teaching and learning environment to the benefit of all students. Our specialist service provides student-led support to enable disabled students to flourish as independent learners.
Mature students
Mature students are an important part of our community here at the University of Nottingham and we value the skills, motivation and life experience they bring. Being a mature student can give you an advantage at university, but we understand it can be a big decision to return to study.
