The University of Nottingham was founded on the philanthropy of Sir Jesse Boot, who donated the land on which University Park Campus now stands. We’re proud to work with partners including Santander, GlaxoSmithKline, Walgreen Boots, Caterpillar, Gleeds, David Wilson Homes, ABInBev and Enterprise-Rent-A-Car. 

How you can support us  

Make a significant and tangible impact on causes you’re interested in. Here are some of the initiatives you can support: 

• Provide funding for healthcare research, including the Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre and Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre
• Support access to education via our Nottingham Potential Programme. For students in lower household income brackets through scholarships and bursaries, outreach work in local schools and communities, or international students from developing countries
• Encourage academic excellence by providing academic prizes for research projects, progress and achievement in different subject areas
• Volunteer to support our work, whether through guest lectures, participation on project and advisory boards or project delivery
